Brief summary
Lead cause of death worldwide last years are cardiovascular diseases. Co-morbidities as hypertension, metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease play key
role in their progression. All mentioned conditions are closely connected with the syndrome of chronic torpid systemic inflammation or metainflammation. It`s rational to add this term to the well-known concept of cardiovascular continuum. Article submitted presents modification of this concept taking into account the new information.
