Brief summary
The dynamics of intensity of rats brain homogenates respiration and oxygen consumption of white rats with acute deprimative agents (ethanol, thiopental sodium or 1,4-butanediol) poisoning in medium lethal doses was investigated. It was demonstrated that reducing the intensity of brain tissue respiration and whole-body oxygen consumption played an important role in the pathogenesis of intoxication. Efficiency of energy metabolism substrata as means of experimental therapy on survival rate indicators in various terms of an intoxication was studied. The experiments revealed that the appointment of metabolic correction in 3 h after the toxicant had not positive effect on the survival of experimental animals.
