Brief summary

Methods of sample preparation and mass spectrometric identification of butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) adducts with organophosphorus compounds (e.g. Russian Vx) were proposed. This approaches allow to determine the contact with Russian Vx (VR) in biological samples with a detection limit of less than 1 ng/ml VR in plasma (for BChE adduct) and less than 5% inhibition of BChE.

Key words

butyrylcholinesterase, organophosphorus compounds, adduct, immunoprecipitation, VX, VR.
