Brief summary
Polymer technology are increasingly being used to create new composite materials with various functions, applications which have been steadily expanding. In particular, polymeric capsules are used in medicine and pharmacy for the storage and delivery of various proteins and peptides [1,2], oligonucleotides [3,4], hormones [5], growth factors [6] and as a self substance, and as a functional element of diagnosing the system [7,8]. One of the problems solved by using microcapsules loaded with enzymes and immobilized on a solid surface, is the ability to use them to selective detect the substrates in the solution. Sphere of application the surfaces containing functionally active enzymes found primarily in biosensor technology. One of the most important enzymes in terms of medical diagnostics is glucose oxidase, which can be used to determine the concentration of glucose in the blood and other biological fluids. Putting in polyelectrolyte microcapsules of glucose oxidase and the subsequent immobilization of the enzyme with capsules on hard surfaces in the long run will create a polymeric glucose biosensor. However, the interaction of glucose with polyelectrolytes and polyelectrolyte surfaces forming shell capsules are currently not well studied. These interactions can influence the sensitivity and stability of glucose oxidase.
