Brief summary
Introduction. Every year, dozens of new wounded coatings appear in the world, but most of them consist of well-known materials. The use of recently received wound coatings based on electrical conductive polymers opens up new opportunities in the treatment of burn wounds. In the work, wound coatings based on two representatives of the class of electrical conductive polymers were studied: polyaniline and polypyrrol.
Research objective: Evaluation of the first experience of using wound dressings based on polyaniline and polypyrrole in the form of fabric materials in the complex treatment of burn wounds.
Materials and methods. Wound coatings based on electrically conductive polymers and polypyrrol polymers are studied with anguish of the hemostatic effect, antibacterial properties, protective function, adhesion to the wound surface, permeability for antiseptics and ointments. At the same time, data were obtained on the basis of which indications for the use of this medical product were determined. The study was conducted on 14 victims of deep burns, but a group of patients is not large enough for the final statistical conclusion.
Results and discussion. Wound coatings based on polyaniline and polypyrollah are athletic, perfectly modeled on the surface of the wounds, have good adhesion to the wound surface, retain their properties for 7 days on the wound. They have good permeability for solutions and separated from the wound, do not adhere to auto-proprietors, but they are excessively fixed on a granular wound.
Conclusion. Wound coatings based on polyaniline and polypyrrol are convenient to use and effective in the treatment of burn wounds.
