Analysis of cardiovascular risk factors in young people with EVA and SUPERNOVA syndrome

Brief summary

The purpose of our study was to study the prevalence of various vascular age phenotypes in the youth population, to analyze cardiovascular risk factors in young people with the presence of premature vascular aging syndrome (EVA syndrome). The study included 81 men aged 18 to 25 years without a history of cardiovascular diseases. The subjects were divided into 3 groups depending on belonging to different vascular age phenotypes (favorable - group 1 (n=7), normal - group 2 (n=63), and premature aging - group 3 (n=11)). The analysis of the probability of the development of premature vascular aging based on the assessment of the vascular wall stiffness index (CAVI, PEP/ET indices) from risk factors such as smoking, dyslipidemia, fasting blood glucose, physical inactivity, overweight, irrational nutrition. Verification of the causes of premature vascular aging, analysis of cardiovascular risk factors in young people with EVA syndrome require further study. Based on our results, it can be assumed that risk factors in young people without verified CVD cannot be considered as independent cardiovascular risk factors in people with diagnosed EVA syndrome.
