Brief summary
The purpose of this work was to study the effectiveness of the joint use of interleukin-2 with emergency antiradiation agents in conditions of combined radiation-thermal injury (CRTI). The work used white non-fertile male mice weighing 18‒20 g. Laboratory animals were subjected to the general rather uniform single radiation in γ-quanta on IGUR-1 installation (137Cs) at the dose LD50/30 (0.998 Gr / min). Immediately after irradiation, the animals were subjected to a thermal burn. The thermal component of the lesions was simulated in accordance with the guidelines by short-term exposure of the back of animal water to 950С temperature. Burn depth - to fascia m. panniculus carnosus, the burn area was 10% of the skin area.
The experimental animals were injected the following substance: naphazoline (intraperitoneally 5 mg / kg 15 mins before irradiation), cystamine (intraperitoneally 200 mg / kg 30-40 min before irradiation), IL-2 (subcutaneously 250,000 IU / kg 24 h or 1 h after irradiation). The effectiveness of drugs was judged by changes in indicators, characterizing the severity of the course and outcome of CRTI, as well as the timing of the final healing of burns. As a result of the study, it was shown that the introduction of IL-2 1 h after irradiation increases the survival rate of animals with CRTI by 30% when used alone and by 40-50% when combined with a radioprotective agent. Introduction of IL-2 helps to shorten the healing time of burns with CRTI. In the case of using a radioprotector before irradiation, and IL-2 after application of burns, the healing period was reduced by 4-11 days.
