Brief summary

Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is one of the most effective treatments for many hematologic, oncologic, autoimmune and hereditary diseases in children and adults, and in many cases – it is the only method to save the patient's life. Hematopoietic stem cellscan be obtained from the HLA-identical related donor, but the selection of related donor limited – only 10 - 20% of patients have a compatible related donor.In this regard, the main focus was the development of the Registers - structure containing generalized information of the immunogenetic characteristics of the donor. The article reflects the problem of creation and some stages of development of hematopoietic stem cells donor registers in foreign countries and in Russia The authors formulated specific tasks that will create high-performance, professional structure of national importance, which can work according international standards of modern high cellular technologies and provide hematopoietic stem cells obtained from donors from the national register.
