Brief summary
Here are the results of functional MRI of addictive disorders among drug dependent patients using clinical, laboratory and instrumental techniques. Functional MRI data revealed that patients with opioid addiction, compared to healthy individuals have got functional changes in the occipital region, the prefrontal cortical areas, hippocampus, basal ganglia. At the same time, there were no signs of organic brain lesions in these patients. Though, all of them met high levels of reactive anxiety, suicide risk, depression, neurological symptoms that revealed evidence of diffuse nature of the nervous system lesion.
