Brief summary
The concentration of nucleated cells in the peripheral blood apheresis product, - highly variable parameter (46 - 370 × 10 leukocytes/liter), which reduces the safety of stem cells in addition to the graft dimethyl sulfoxide. It registered 16% of clinical cases where the safety of stem cells was less than 50% of the harvested dose. In these cases leukocytosis was >150 × 10 leukocytes/liter. We have developed a method for calculating the amount of autologous blood plasma needed to dilute the graft to reduce leukocytosis below 150 × 10 leucocytes/liter. Testing method showed the ability to significantly (p <0,05) increase in the safety of GSK cryopreservation.
