The paper presents comparative data of heart rate variability of the persons working-aged and elderly with acute poisoning by psychopharmacological medicines. Studies have shown that the implementation of compensatory reactions in patients of different ages and varying degrees of severity of acute poisoning with psychopharmacological medicines has the same patterns that appear to increase the tone of the sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system, more pronounced in people of working age. This indicates that for the same degree of chemical injury adaptive capacity in the elderly below.
