Brief summary
The paper presents the age-related changes of the strength characteristics of the body of the mandible and its effect on the strength characteristics of tooth loss (partial and complete edentulous). It is shown that the loss of teeth has a significant influence on the mechanical properties of bone of the lower jaw. Partially edentulous reduces the strength of the lower jaw in the loss of teeth on 3,4 ± 0,63 kN, as well as the angle of the jaw and neck on the side of the loss of premolars and molars to 2,1 ± 0,37 kN. At full strength of the edentulous mandible is reduced by 5,3 ± 1,19 kN in all "areas of weakness."
