Brief summary
We have revealed conditions for stimulation of animal regeneration (in the example of freshwater flatworms planarian) by argon plasma radiation which was generated in a plasma scalpel. Locating flatworms at the longer distance from the plasma torch allowed us to exclude temperature destruction of planarian tissues and to choose a mode providing highest regeneration-stimulating effect. Maximal stimulation of planarian cephalic end regeneration has been observed under plasma irradiation during 5 min at 25 cm from the plasma torch. Thereby we demonstrated the possibility of broad application of plasma scalpel for therapeutic aims.
