Brief summary
The research is dealing with the testing of age peculiarities of senior and geriatric males’ postural balance with standard and early ageing tempo (AT). It is revealed that geriatric males with equal AT have lower postural balance than senior ones. It was expressed during computer stabilometry in every functional test by the average speed growth of indexes of general mass centre (GMC), average GMC deviation amplitude and average GMC removing in frontal plane as well as by index decrease of average GMC semioscillation, in sagittal and frontal directions in comparison with senior males. The obtained results show that geriatric males with standard and early ageing tempo face the lowering of sensory systems, physiological mechanisms of postural control and functions of supporting-motor apparatus. On the basis of this we can conclude that postural balance and postural strength age changes happen irrespectively of AT among males aged 60-68.
