Brief summary

Introduction. Congenital dislocation of the knee (CDK) is an extremely rare anomaly of the musculoskeletal system. Given the severity of the pathology and the aggressiveness of treatment for the newborn, it is necessary to look for ways to minimize the impact on the child with the adequacy of orthopedic manipulations. The purpose was to study the vibration effect of an electric vibration-type massager on the muscle tissue of a laboratory animal. Materials and methods. The study included 4 mature rabbits of the Soviet chinchilla breed, aged 5 months: 2 females and 2 males. Vibratory massage sessions were performed both on the intact limb and after modeling fibrosis in the thigh muscle. Received 8 biopsies: 2 fragments of unchanged muscle, 2 muscle fragments after exposure to vibration massage, 2 muscle fragments with fibrosis without massage, and 2 muscle fragments with fibrosis and subsequent massage. Results. In the muscles that underwent vibromassage, there was an increased blood supply, the absence of degenerative-dystrophic changes. Histological changes in muscle biopsies with simulated fibrosis, which were not subjected to massage, were more pronounced: degenerative-dystrophic changes with weak elements of regeneration were noted: in myocytes, foci of myolysis, areas of disappearance of striated striation, fields of small- and large-focal fibrosis outside the scar zone, foci of fatty degeneration, moderate blood supply, there are practically no vessels in the scar itself. At the same time, in biopsy specimens with fibrosis, but in the massaged limb, against the background of plethora, degenerative-dystrophic changes are weak, regeneration processes prevail: almost all myocytes are preserved, moderate growths of dense connective tissue mainly in the perifocal zone of the scar, no foci of lipomatosis were detected. Conclusion. Some morphological prerequisites for the use of hardware vibration massage in the treatment of CDK in newborns may be revealed during the experiment on laboratory animals, plethora, a decrease in the area of fibrosis and regeneration of skeletal muscles. Improving the qualitative characteristics of muscle tissue, of course, leads to an improvement in its physical and mechanical properties - extensibility and elasticity.
