Brief summary
The results of safety and tolerability assessment of radioprotectors (naphthyzine, indralin) and antiemetic drugs (ondansetron, palonosetron) when administered intratracheally to rats at lethal (LD16) and effective doses on respiratory function along with morphological macroscopic assessment of the state of the lungs are presented. It has been shown that naphthyzine and indralin, when administered in radioprotective doses, contribute to the development of bronchospastic disorders, while antiemetic drugs at maximum daily doses did not have any pronounced effects on respiratory system of animals. These finding suggest taking ondansetron and palonosetron for further study of tolerability and efficacy in a model of inhalation administration.
