The phalloidins syndrome: actual trends of toxicokinetic and toxicodynamic therapy
Kirov Military Medical Academy Russian Federation Defense Ministry, Saint-Petersburg, Russia;
- State Scientific-research Test Institute of the Military Medicine, Russian Federation Defense Ministry, Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Brief summary

The Phalloidins syndrome is a serious problem due to its frequency, difficulties in diagnosis, lack of effective special therapy tools and low survival rates of patients, including states after urgent liver transplantation. The amanitin-mediated toxic process is revealed with emphasis on the combination of the actions of all groups of toxins in the composition of fruit bodies, which can play a greater role in the potentiation of amanitin toxicity than just the induction of gastrointestinal phenomena. The advantages and disadvantages of the main types of therapy aimed at redistributing amanitotoxins in the body and their interaction with the main toxicity receptors were considered. There were evaluated the role of agents which inhibit the activity of OATR1B3-Transporter, RNA polymerase II and the oxidative stress.

Key words

poisoning, mycetism, mushroom, amanitin, polimyxin B, therapy.
