Brief summary
The research of frequency of occurrence and the main causes of thrombocytosis in patients city hospital. To determine the frequency of cases of thrombocytosis analyzed solid sample, including 1000 medical records of patients admitted to the city hospital in early 2012. Found that in 98 patients (9.8%), platelet count exceeds the threshold adopted for the 400×109/L. Among patients with thrombocytosis slightly males (53.1%). Mild thrombocytosis (400× 109/L to 700×109/L) was detected in 89 patients (90.8%) , moderate thrombocytosis (700×109/L to 900×109/L) - 6 patients (6.1%), thrombocytosis severe in 1 patient (900×109/L to1000×109/L) , extreme thrombocytosis (1000×109/L) - 2 patients (2.04 %). In 96.5% of cases analyzed revealed reactive thrombocytosis. Among the causes of reactive thrombocytosis in 48.9% occurred inflammatory disease. In 14.3% - traumatic injuries of various localization, 11.2% - iron deficiency anemia in 7.1% - cancer, 6.1% - acute hemorrhage. Primary thrombocytosis observed in three cases.
