Age features of the branch structure of the lower jaw of an adult

Brief summary
In work on the basis of anatomical, morphometric and radiological studies are considered age-specific branch of the lower jaw. Shows the changes in size and shape, and the ratio of compact and spongy substance in the condylar process of the mandible in different age – a young, middle, old and senile. Shows the impact of age-related changes of masticatory apparatus, namely, the loss of natural teeth to change the size and volume of the branches of the lower jaw, which is important for its strength properties and can determine the line of "weakness" of the branches of the lower jaw.
