A new approach to determination of the composition of mixed lipid-detergent aggregates and the concentration of detergent in aqueous phase was developed for the systems containing detergent of high critical micelle concentration. The method requires only a small number of lipid-detergent mixtures (minimum 4) for measurements and enables estimating the measured parameters as a function of temperature and phase state of lipid. This method was used for the study of the dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine-sodium cholate system.
