Brief summary
According to numerous studies, the prevalence of obstructive breathing disorders during sleep in the general population is estimated to be up to 10%. Awareness of the population and the medical community on this issue remains at a low level. The correct diagnosis is made only by 10-20% of patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSA). All this happens because OSA, having no pathognomonic and specific symptoms, often proceeds under the guise of cardiovascular diseases and remains unrecognized for a long time. To date, the impact of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome on the health of military personnel is poorly understood. The aim of the work: the aim was to assess the need for diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome in military personnel. The methodology of the work: analysis of clinical cases of severe obstructive apnea syndrome in military personnel. The contingent of subjects were military personnel: who were treated at the 1 clinic of advanced therapy for doctors named after N.S. Molchanov. Main results of the work: the analysis of the presented cases showed a general negative impact of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome on the health of military personnel, primarily on the cardiovascular system, as well as a negative impact on the quality of life of military personnel.
