Brief summary
The article provides a theoretical justification of approaches and the procedure for carrying out practical measures to obtain integral quantitative parameters for interpreting the results of experimental toxicological studies. Building a hierarchical structure, selecting methods and obtaining the necessary indicators, normalizing and unifying data based on reference intervals, obtaining weight coefficients of indicators, aggregating data, interpreting the results for making a decision based on criteria and the resulting level of the system indicator are the main stages of data processing for calculating the integral assessment of the state of the body of laboratory animals. Practical ways of implementing these stages are given. Variants of data aggregation methods based on a hierarchical structure and their integration based on the tasks solved in the field of toxicological and pharmacological experimental studies are considered. An approach is proposed for making decisions based on the results of preclinical studies using laboratory animals, as well as options for interpreting data based on the formation of evaluation functions that determine the degree of compliance of the actual state of the object with the established requirements. These provisions make it possible to optimize the assessment of the state of the organism of laboratory animals at the systemic and organismic level, to improve the quality of experiments and decision-making based on their results.
