The paper presents the results of a comparative study of the tolerability of the complexing agents pentacin (Ca-DTPA) and zincacin (Zn-DTPA) with a single intratracheal injections n to rats at doses corresponding to single, average daily and maximum daily recommended for intravenous use in humans. The study of the tolerance of Ca-DTPA and Zn-DTPA consisted in assessing the effect of chelates on the parameters of the function of external respiration, orienting-exploratory activity and physical performance of rats. It was established that a single inhalation injections of drugs in single doses is characterized by satisfactory tolerability. Use in average and maximum daily doses leads to significant changes in the rhythm of breathing (tachypnea), the development of bronchospasm, supersession of motor activity and a decrease in physical performance. The interval of manifestation of side effects of complexing agents is from 4 hours to 1 day. The results obtained indicate the feasibility of developing schemes for the treatment of inhalation lesions with radionuclides based on the repeated injections of chelates (in particular Ca-DTPA) using a metered-dose powder inhaler at intervals of at least four hours while the single dose should be limited to 250 mg.
