Arthrosis of the first metatarsophalangeal joint (review of literature)

Brief summary

The article presents generalized data from Russian and foreign literature and fully de-scribes the etiology, classification, clinic, diagnosis and methods of conservative and surgical treatment of arthrosis of the 1st metatarsophalangeal joint. The urgency of the disease is em-phasized. This article indicates the worldwide prevalence of the disease. Special attention is paid to the methods of treatment for various degrees of arthrosis. The advantages and compli-cations of certain types of surgical intervention are described in detail. Analytical data of for-eign authors on the results of treatment methods are briefly presented.
