Brief summary

Low back pain is a common reason for seeking medical attention among all segments of the population. The problem of aging further actualizes this problem. The emergence of new concomitant diseases and the aggravation of symptoms of previously existing ones aggravates the course of chronic pain syndrome, increases the risks of surgical intervention, causing the risks of perioperative complications. The reasons for such disappointing results are different: these are not only local reasons due to both the nature of the operation and the characteristics of the degenerative process in a particular patient (screw malposition, unstable osteosynthesis, epidural fibrosis, etc.), but also the lack of adaptation of surgical technology to the personal characteristics of the patient. In the course of our study, it was found that neuropsychological indicators are an important component of the treatment process, having a direct effect on the latter. Thus, in a comprehensive study of the results of the study, it was revealed that the more aggressive the intervention was (the use of fixing structures), the greater the influence of neuropsychological factors on the outcome of treatment, which also had a predictive value.
