Brief summary
Relevance. Lizomustine is an antineoplastic drug from the group of N-nitrosoalkylureas, which are characterized by the manifestation of mutagenic effect.
Purpose of the research: to study the possibility of manifestation of the mutagenic effect of lysomustine.
Materials and research methods. The mutagenic effect of lysomustine was studied using a micronucleus test using mouse bone marrow cells (in vivo experiments) with the introduction of 200 mg / kg (LD16) and 100 mg / kg (LD8) lysomustine into the abdominal cavity.
Research results. The revealed differences in the ratio of polychromatophilic (PCE) and normochromic (NCE) erythrocytes, the number of micronuclei per 500 polychromatophilic erythrocytes in the control and experimental groups with the introduction of the tested doses indicate the manifestation of the mutagenic effect of lysomustine.
Conclusion. It was shown on mouse bone marrow cells (in vivo experiments) that lysomustine, a nitrosoalkylurea derivative, belongs to drugs with a high potential for mutagenic effect.
