Brief summary

Object: to assess the influence of pathological remodeling of the heart to the generation in-stent coronary restenosis was studied the echocardiographic parameters in groups of patients exposed to percutaneous coronary interventions with subsequent in-stent restenosis formation, confirmed by angiography. Methods. Number of patients with late coronary stent restenosis were echocardiographically assessed. As a comparison similar groups of patients without restenosis in the previously installed stents was used. Results obtained indicate the prevalence of concentric remodeling of the left ventricular myocardium at the patients with in-stent coronary restenosis. Conclusion. Myocardial remodeling can influence the process of coronary in-stent restenosis formation.

Key words

coronary artery disease, percutaneous coronary intervention, coronary stent, in-stent restenosis, myocardial remodeling.
