Brief summary
In this paper, we consider the principal mechanisms of the impact of individual- and group-level socioeconomic risk factors on the development of somatic non-infectious diseases in industrial workers. We present the findings of health, statistical, epidemiological and sociological investigations carried out at three enterprises located in Perm Krai (chemical industry and metallurgy). We prove the significance of socioeconomic determinants’ contribution to an increased probability of disease development in groups of workers exposed to hazardous work conditions.
