Acute cerebral failure is the combination of syndromes and conditions resulting from acute dysfunction of central nervous system, caused by brain defeat. This term has pure clinical, pathophysiological semantics and therefore can be applied to adequately describe disorders and failures of different stages of acute poisoning. In the present the problem of acute cerebral failure is handled with the use of neurometabolic therapy. Its main goals are minimization of neuron damage, maintenance of normal intracentral information communication and prevention of pathological integrations in the central nervous system.
